What’s More Important: What You Do Before or After the Birth of A Child

Some people believe that it’s more important what you do with a child after they are born than before. Others feel that what you do before they are born and in the womb is the most important time. I personally feel that you have to go all the way back to the parents. It starts with both the parents not just their physical health but also their outlook on life and how they feel about themselves and life in general. So you start with the parents and travel through the womb, birth, school, college into adulthood. It is both a combination of nurture and environment and your are always trying to develop the best in the child.

I think there is a reason why the Bible says that you should be equally yoked. I agree whole heartedly. This would resolve a lot of problems and conflicts that people have in marriages and rearing kids. A marriage is part of the environment that a child grows up in so the health of the marriage effects the growth and development of the child.

There has to be common values between the parents in the area of finances, religion, education and child rearing, among other things. You have to be confident that this man or woman is going to make a good mother or father.

Why do I bring this up? It is because the emotions of the mother effect the baby. The foods and substances that the mother ingests effect the baby. Taking vitamins and making sure proper rest and hydration are very important also and these things effect the baby.

Just because the baby is not born does not mean that it is not being affected by both internal and external factors. I think most mothers given the opportunity want the very best for their child and will do everything that they can to provide that whether their child is born or still in the womb. When that doesn’t happen, it is usually do to a lack of awareness and knowledge.

What do you think? Do you think that you only have to be concerned with what’s happening with the baby once she or he has arrived or do you think that you can make up for any neglect that occurred in the womb? Or on the other hand do you think that you really have to be concerned moreĀ  about the pregnancy and I’d love to hear from you and hear your thoughts. Please feel free to leave a comment.
