Taking Care Of You So You Can Take Care Of Your Children

As parents we spend so much time taking care of our children and others. But who takes care of us? It is part of our responsibility in being a good parent to remember to take care of ourselves so that we are better able to take care of others especially our children.

As human beings we are driven by our moods. It is hard to get and stay motivated when we feel tired, frustrated and unsatisfied. It is our job as parents to ensure the proper care of our children, by taking care of ourselves. So we get to do something that makes us feel good, happy or satisfied with our lives. We get to do this first thing in the morning when we open our eyes. Doing this sets the tone of the day. It also paves the way for our day to be productive and to be prepared for whatever may come our way for that day.

So begin now to think about what makes you happy, what makes you feel good. What is yummy for you like a delicious meal but not necessarily a delicious meal. You will feel so much better if you do something that is yummy for your heart something that is good for your emotional health. Doing this will help you to feel satisfied and not use food to satisfy you. You will make better choices because you will be in a better frame of mind.

You don’t have to do anything that’s major or complicated. In fact the simplier the better. The simplicity of what you do will ensure that you will do it and result in greater success and consistency. These are two great keys to success, simplicity and consistency.

Please share what you come up with and do with the rest of the community. Some of the things I do is as soon as I open my eyes are, I give thanks for the day. I then go straight to the mirror and say out loud what a great day today is while looking in the mirror. I also talk about how I want my day to turn out. I say these things in the present tense like I am calm and prepared for the day. I am flexible and adaptable. I am a winner and success.
